Basketball Bowling Fencing Skiing Winter Track Wrestling Cheerleading Coaches Click to add your squad Sharon Hughers Passaic Tech AD PCT's Hughes honored by DAANJ Passaic Tech's Sharon Hughes was honored as the DAANJ Athletic Director of the Year for 2008 during a banquet at the State Conference on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at The Borgata in Atlantic City. Hughes has been the Athletic Director at Passaic Tech for the past 12 years and was only the second woman to receive the award other than Southern Regional's Kim DeGraw Cole in 1999 to be recognized as the top AD since its inception in 1974. Hughes, who is a graduate of Paterson Catholic and a 1976 alumna of Montclair State University, was recognized as a Sectional Award of Merit winner in 2005. She began her career serving two years as the women's basketball coach at Rutgers/Newark before becoming the coordinator of women's athletics at Bloomfield College. A coaching stint at Immaculate Conception/Lodi was followed by a return to her roots, serving two years as the basketball and softball coach before taking over as Athletic Director at Paterson Catholic. In 1987 she arrived at Passaic Tech, starting as a teacher and coach before taking over the position of Athletic Director from Marty Borsland. In memory of Brian Fleury Click here
